In a competition with novel realistic flies elegant classic salmon patterns, it's important not to lose appreciation for the simple beauty of a well-tied Hendrickson or a Quill Gordon. This one's for them.

Voting

A fly can be voted on for 90 days after it's submitted.
A fly needs at least 3 votes to show up in the rankings.
Only the votes of other entrants in this contest count toward a fly's ranking.
The winner will be finalized Tuesday September 30, 2008.

Normal Common-Sense Rules

These apply to all Hacklehead contests. Entries breaking any rules may be removed by Troutnut or a moderator.

The fly should be the main subject of the picture. (No background gimmicks.)
Don't go rating everyone else's fly a 1 just to help yourself win. It'll be detected.
You have to have tied the fly yourself, or submitted it on behalf of the tier.
You can enter as many flies as you want in a contest, but no more than one picture of the same fly.

Special Rules for this Contest

Only traditional Catskill-style dry flies may be entered. That does not include wulffs (wulvves?) or other variations.
