One of Lloyd's more traditional-looking ties, it is no less realistic than his more modern ones. This is definitely one that's going into my box.

Molting Stonefly Nymph

The subtle color on this one gives it a lot of depth. It would be really easy to make this pattern too white, which of course Lloyd doesn't do. Even more than his technical skill, the depth of color in his flies is what sets them apart, in my mind.

Hard to imagine a prettier nymph than this one. What's scary is that Lloyd probably doesn't have to refer to a photo when he's making all the markings. Sick.

I don't think this is ugly at all, Jason. In fact, it's quite beautiful. This may be my favorite fly of yours I've seen. And I know you tied it as a flytying baby - very impressive.
