Why Register?

Rate and critique flies.
Submit your own flies for fun or (sometimes) prizes.
Run custom contests with your friends or another online community.
If you have a website, drive traffic to it from prominent links on your profile and your flies.

Be at least 13 years old. There's an idiotic US law called COPPA which requires proof of parental consent to collect so much as an email address from anyone under 13. The result is that small-time website owners who don't have a system to track parental consent data must technically forbid anyone under 13 from signing up.
Only post pictures of flies. Use Troutnut.com to post other things, like live bugs or fish you caught.
Only post flies you've tied. We have to operate on the honor system. Don't mess it up.
Contests are on the honor system. If some user decides to be a jerk, and creates a contest promising prizes but doesn't deliver, HackleHead.com isn't liable. We'll do our best to prevent that kind of thing.
Use common sense. Don't harrass people with vulgar comments, don't post inappropriate pictures, etc.
