This one isn't particularly well-tied, and it's from my earliest months of tying, but I put it up because I'm not sure when I'll get around to tying and photographing another one. It's obligatory for any fly fisher from Wisconsin to give a nod to this local celebrity pattern.
Bead head. A bit of lead weight underneath. Tapered hare's ear body. 4 strands of pink krystal flash for the tail. Pink thread. Bright pink artificial dubbing for the collar. Piece of cake!
And what type of nymph does the Pink Squirrel imitate? I would like to get about a dozen of these but I don't know where I could get them, as I am not a very good fly tier yet!
